God exists? God doesn't? God is a different concept? Convince me!
by punkofnice ini am in a spiritual void at the moment after a year out of the borg and 50 years in.. i'd like to hear 'brief' evidence for the existance or non existance of god/s without an argument between members here.. i'd like to get fresh view points as mine is now so critical it's telling me to be an agnostic or atheist.
why?
i am in want of evidence, not just words from a copy/paste troll & no links.. i just want to open up to new possibilities but with evidence to support it not just 'faith'..

I want to fade but ...
by Dudu ini need an advice.... has been 2 months since i went to a meeting and or field service, i received a call from an elder saying that he wants my monthly report , i dont know what to do coz he is been calling me for 4 days now i dont want to answer the phone, but at the same time i feel like just sending the report.
the question is, should i fade slowly or just stop ?
my family isnt jw only my mom is inactive..

if your family isn't in, i'd just go away. no reason to spend one more minute being controlled (and you are being controlled right now) by the elders and the rest of the "flock".

even a slow fade starts with not putting in your time slip. for 6 consecutive months. 4 more months to go and you are inactive. fading does not work without this step.

Not having had a very good education due to being a JW I still can't understand evolution (as I think I understand it). You know, every house and that.......
understanding evolution is optional. most of all, as an agnostic atheist you need to embrace the fact that you can't know it all. that's one of the hardest parts when comming from a know-it-all religion like the JWs. insufficient evidence is enough to not believe in god.
it's not like "there is a god" and "there is no god" are the only options. a few more options i can come up with:
"i don't know if there is a god", "there are four gods", "there is a goddess, and she's damn sexy", "there is a supreme force without personality", "there is no god, but there is spirit", "most probably there is no god", "there are a million gods, but only two of them are right", "everyone is part of god"... to be continued.

his conclusion is that we need not dismiss all of the bible, just because some of it is not accurate.
.. but how do we decide which parts of the bible should be read literally?

the question is, who put the books into the library and why? and why do other libraries contain more (or less) books? what about the books people read before the library was made, but were dismissed by the librarian?

by life is to short ini was thinking about a thread of terry's and how the whole concept of jesus is ruling right now only he is invisible sounds like a crazy person is speaking.
yet this is one of the major religious teachings of jw's.
one that we were expected to explain to strangers by coming uninvited to their doors.
